Wolfpack Pick Up Announces New Drivers, Expanded Golf Cart Fleet

New Drivers

Spring 2018 offers new opportunities for our team to expand. Late last semester, our team began the application process to bring four new drivers to our team. After an extensive search with dozens of applications, four exceptional students were chosen. We are excited to welcome new drivers Michael Williams, Emily Davis, Henry Kunz, and Morgan Mathews.

Expanded Golf Cart Fleet

Over time, electric vehicles face many challenges, none more costly than replacing their batteries and electric systems. In the fall, our fleet of three carts all faced these maintenance issues. As a result, our team decided very quickly it was time to expand.

North State Bank has been a sponsor of Wolfpack Pick Up since the beginning. Once again, North State has generously sponsored our latest addition, a gas-powered 2014 Yamaha cart. While electric vehicles offer a quieter, cleaner option around campus, having a gas-powered cart permits reliability in the face of the often expensive maintenance associated with electric vehicles. While our carts take upwards of 8 hours to fully charge, the university has an on-campus gas station where filling up is as simple as stopping by, making our service more reliable and navigable.

Thanks to our on-campus specialists, our fleet is in good hands, and is at its most reliable since the program initiated in 2014.
